Many a times people wonder who is this lady that never gets tired to repeat the words "mteja wa nambari" whenever the number you're dialling cannot be reached.
The popular lady goes by the name Ms. Maggie Wazome. She is a Mombasa born lady who is currently a support analyst at safaricom customer care department. Her voice sometimes annoys many when they urgently need to deliver an important message.
Ms. Maggie Wazome was called to read the lines by one Andrew Crawford who ran a recording studio and who was then in charge of producing commercials at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
Ms Maggie says that she does not really remember how the experience was since she was so young and her aim was just to look for money for her pocket money.
She did the lines so perfectly and was the only lucky one among the sixteen ladies who were in the same competition. That's how her life changed completely and it opened doors for her employment to safaricom.
