23 Year Old Kenyan University Student Steals From Foreign Boyfriend Money And Valuables Worth Close To Ksh 500,000

Lately cases of con artists have increased. They have created different ways to manipulate people so that they can steal from them. Many cases are not reported as most people report that their ways are so cunning that even when explaining it to a person one seems stupid. But in some one loses so much that they have to report the case to get justice and also what they lost. It has even been found that people you deem close are more likely to con you as they know people to report the case.

On November 8th Kabba Ibrahim a Sierra Leon diplomat fell victim to this. He had been in a two day relationship with Veronica Njeri. A 23 year old student at a local private university. Njeri called Leon and told him that she was drunk at a near entertainment joint and needed help. Leon proceeded to go the joint with a cab and met Njeri with a lady who she introduced as her friend. Leon took both of them to his house, paid for the ride and welcomed his girlfriend who he had just meet two day prior. After moments in his sitting room he took Njeri to vomit in the bathroom leaving the friend by herself. They were in there for about ten minutes and when they came out the lady was gone. She had taken with her Leon's phone worth ksh143, 000 wallet, containing USD 800 and ksh 30,000 and Leon's passport worth sh 262,440

Leon left Njeri asleep and reported the case. Njeri sobered up after a day and when questioned Njeri claimed she did not know the lady. Njeri was charged at the Kibera law courts for the theft of the items. She denied the allegation before before senior principle magistrate Esther bike of Kibera law courts and was released on a sh 300,000 with surerity of a similar amount and an alternative cash bail of sh 100, 000. The case eitll be mentioned later this month.
